The MRC of Missouri is enclosing a Membership and application brochure with this month’s newsletter.

This will be your official notice of dues payable for calendar year 2005.  Those local member units that have paid their dues in 2004 will be pro-rated for the calendar year 2005.  Dues will then be billed on a yearly basis, every year in November for January of the following year.

Your membership will enable you to continue receiving newsletters and access to the MRC of Missouri help line.

The MRC of Missouri will continue to secure for all people with mental retardation the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live and work.

MRC Projects for 2005:

1. Increase funding for Sheltered Workshops in Missouri
2. Advocate the need for Habilitation Centers in Missouri
   (Stop the Down-sizing)

3. State Schools, their need, and their specialized curriculum.
4. Available Medicaid Slots
5. Minority Status for Sheltered Workshops
6. Consolidation of splinter groups, to create a more collective voice.
